Hi,
A visitor sat at my leather-top desk and wrote a letter on a thin piece of paper with a fine pointed pen and now the entire letter is embedded into my leather top.
I know that depressions in wood can be removed with an iron and damp rag ;will this work for a leather top, too? If this won't, does anyone have any solution for this problem?
Thanks,
Ginny

I have not had to much experience with leather, but I do know that I would avoid using any heat on the leather. Water may work but leather is naturally water repelant. In time the marks may disappear on its own. You may want to go to http://www.hidemarket.com . They have links to several leather manufactures that probably could answer your question a whole lot better than most of else.

Good bye and work safely
