Hello all. Just stumbled across this site. Pretty neat to see all this info. I have been working in the Carpentry Dept. at work these days. I've owned & used W.W. tools for some time on my farm. However, about 5 years ago I was given a Dewalt plunge router for Christmas. Beautiful thing except I didn't know what the heck to do with it. Rather than 'experiment' & possibly destroy it, I just put it on a shelf and left it. This guy here helped me learn how to use it as well as the safety aspects of my old table saw. I'm hooked now! Now, if I could just find the time....

Welcome!
Great to have another voice for women woodworkers. Once you get the smell of the wood, its only a matter of time that the splinters will follow. Please join us as a regular "woodie".

Thanks. Marking you on the 'faves' as I write:) As for splinters; seems I'm familiar with those. I've built most of my own stable & shelters etc on my farm but I'm really excited about doing other types of working with wood. I must get a proper work area set up though. Right now, my garage floor is dirt & for sure not suitable.
