pop-up mechanism

I want to build a kitchen table 30" high which will pop up to form a work surface or a buffet table 36" high. I have seen ready made coffee tables which pop up to eating table height. Does anyone know where I can get a mechanism that I can use to build my table? Thank you for your help!

Rockler sells the hardware you are talking about, but it raises the top 10 1/2". There should be away to limit that rise demension, but without seeing it I can't tell you.
