New turning

I turned this little pot. I call it a bud pot. Too small to be a vase and too tall to be a potpourri pot.

Very nice!
You wouldn't believe the finish I got on my first turned pieces. They looked a lot like something done at range with a hatchet. I see you have no such problems!
You will have to practice naming pieces, though you have a good start. I think being able to come up with a logical name quickly for something that comes out differently than anticipated is part of the learning to turn process.

You are quite the busy beaver on that lathe. The mushrooms gave me a chuckle, also.

Christmas and family and stuff has distracted me so much from the shop that I'm almost feeling guilty about it.
