bloodwood
hi everyone,
i got some bloodwood the other day and i tried to cut it
last night on my mitre saw. am i going to need carbide tools
to machine this i am trying to make pens with this.can i slow
down the spd. like i would with any other hard wood.

Clint, I'm guessing your talking about turning speed and while there are some turners on this forum i"m going to refer you to a forum that is only turning. They are very good people and many of the people here are also members there. Good luck.

I turn pens all the time for clients as thank you presents.
I have the lathe tool set by Robert Forby. It's a 4 piece set and costs about $100.00
I got mine at www.rockler.com
