table saw tilt
Hello all-
I was window shopping in the new Grizzly catalog when I noticed something I never paid attention to before-that is that table saws may be built with a right tilt vs. left tilt. It made me stop wonder why. I assumed they all tilted left as does mine. Is this just for lefties or is there some other advantage I'm not aware of?

Most of the older saw are right tilt, for the most part it's only been the last ten (or so) years that left tilt became popular. Some think a left tilt are safer for doing angled cut with the blade tilted away from the fence. I personally don't think it makes any differance. If you have to make a cut that is to close to the fence to be safe, move the fence, move the fence to the other side of the blade.
