Craftsman 100' Table Saw Info

I am looking for information on a Sears Craftsman 100' Table saw.
I was given one last weekend, it is in good shape, but I would like a manual, or extra parts for it. I contacted Sears and they said no parts were available for it.
I'm in the process of checking alignment of motor and cleaning the top. Is there an good way to check the alignment of the pullys.

I'm going to assume that you are referring to a 10" table saw.

I own an older one that did come with manuals and such. Let us know what vintage and or model it is and maybe someone has something similar.

Yes, it uses a 10 inch blade, but the model name was 100'.
The serial # starts out 113.------, I can't recall off the top of my head what the other numbers are. I can get that info if it matters.

Any suggestions on how to best check for proper alignment?

Look on the saw for the plate with the model and serial number on
it.It has to be on the sides of the table somewhere.
I have a 10 inch contractor ( 2 HP ) table saw with the model number starting with 113... Please supply the number from your machine. I have all the paperwork for my saw. If it is the same model you have, or at least a close style, I will send you the paper work.

The proper alignment check is to mark one tooth of the blade with chaulk or something. UNPLUG THE SAW FIRST. Bring that tooth to the front until is is just above the table top. Measure from the tooth to the edge of the miter slot. Now turn the blade until that same tooth is just above the table and measure to the miter slot again. The two measurements should be within a few thousandths of an inch.

If they are not, you need to shift the trunnions under the table. There are six bolts on the Craftsman. Three in the back, three in the front. The ones in the front are a bear to get at, but you need to loosen all six. After they have been loosened, you need to snug them back down, Not tight, just enough so that the trunnions will not move on their own.

Now using a block and mallet, tap the trunnion assembly to adjust it front and back. You need to keep measuring that tooth on the blade until it measures the same front to back.

Once it is right, tighten the trunnion bolts. The best way is to work through the six bolts tightening them a little at a time in sequence. This will lessen the chance that tightening will pull things back out of alignment.

Now that the blade is paralell with the miter slot, you'll need to square the fence to the miter slot too.

Once the unit is tuned well, it will be a lot safer and more accurate.

I am sort of new to this myself, but, Emmerson Electric made some of the saws for Sears before Sears began to import from Asia. You can probably find info at the Ridgid.com site, which is a division of Emmerson. Go to Shop Talk and you will find areas for woodworking questions. It is a good forum, almost as good as this one. The forum moderator ,JSchnarre, will be glad to help. He seems to be online amost all the time. I am sure he will get you answers as soon as anyone.

My table saw is the 10inch ,2hp contractors saw. The model number is 113.298034
Try contacting Sears.com for parts and see if they can advise you as to the similarity between these models. If you find out, let me know and I will send you a copy of my paperwork from my saw.

Sears may have a manual and parts for the saw. Either go to your local Sears store or call them at 1-800-366-7278. You used to be able to order parts online at www.sears.com but the parts department has been undergoing maintenance for several months now.

You also can get parts from them for tools of other manufacturers.

I too have a craftsman "100" 10" table saw model 113.29992 I recently inhereted it from my grandfather (a Houston, TX cabinetmaker/contractor for over 40 years) and luckily for me he saved the manual (and a nifty little book from sears about how to use a crafstman table saw).
