looking for classes or schools
Hi everyone!
I live 20 minutes south of Houston (Pearland) and have been VERY unsuccessful in locating any schools that I can take woodworking classes. I am a beginner (I have been doing photography and would like to move into other forms of crafts).
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't have any tools and prefer to go to a location to learn.
I'm so glad you are here!

Check out the Houston Woodworkers Club, http://www.wwch.org. And try some of the classes offered by The Cutting Edge http://www.cuttingedgetools.com/ (I'm assuming they still offer classes). I got my start there.

Thanks for all the help, Johanna.
I called The Cutting Edge and they are going to mail me a class schedule as soon as they form), but when I tried the Woodworkers Club site, it wouldn't allow me to see the page. Not sure why.
I'm happy that I finally found something, because I was getting very frustrated.

Thanks, sdunham, for the links. Unfortunately, none of these are located in the Houston area. As I don't have any tools, I can't do any "at home" projects as I don't have tools. (The second link didn't work)
I appreciate it.
Rachel
