Thread: my new shop

    my new shop

Well, moved most of my shop over to the new place this morning. Didn't have a big enough truck to handle the bandsaw (Laguna 16 HD), so the guy helping me move is going to come back with a friend next weekend. When I got my stuff in there I realized how much more space I will have. I'm very excited. It's already wired for 220, so DC and BS are good to go. And the woodworker I'm renting it from said I could use his tools if I had any projects I needed to finish up before the shop is up and running. He even said I could use his compound miter saw, so I'll get a chance to work with one, before I make the decision to buy. Windows on 3 sides of the building, lots of light. Steel door, deadbolt lock, though I did get insurance on it, anyway. Has it's own bathroom! I should be in and unpacking next weekend. Have to do the day job for the next 4 days, ugh!
Anyway, just wanted to give an update about the new shop. Oh, yeah, I sent some of my stuff up to a store in Oregon, it sold last week. Just sent some more off to NY, another store. Hope that sells. Working on building that portfolio.
    Take care.

    Lynn,

I'm so pleased that the shop looks like it will work out! It was a tough decision I'm sure and I hope it goes well for you.

Congrats on the good sales too! Wow, a big week. Now if you could only lose that pesky day job...
