I would like to know if any of the members here are Canadian. I have looked around alot and I can not find a site like this where Canadians meet. Anyone have any suggestions besides surfing the net? Thanks.
I'm Canadian, recently moved into the States. I've found one very active Canadian woodworking forum, at www.canadianwoodworking.com. Lots of tips on where to get wood and tools in Canada. They typically get between 10-25 posts a day. I hope this link is useful.
The www.canadianwoodworking.com site is definitly the place to go.I check it every day and i have also made use of it.I am getting a used planer 10inch and was unsure of the brand(Benchmark). One question at that site and i had all the info i needed to decide to make the purchase.
You were looking for Woodworkers from Canada. Well I'm from Quebec and I work making the framing for sofas. I'm a cutter for the templates that are assembled for sofa and chair designs. I'm training next week on a CNC lathing machine.
Well nice to hear from you. Sounds like an interesting job. I find that most of the people on the internet are from the States. Not that this matters, most of the users on this site are very knowlegdable when it comes to woodworking.
I hope you'll keep coming back to the site, and good luck with your training on the lathe.
Hi! Actually its a CNC router. I'm a newbie to the CNC but everyone here is really nice and helpful. I know my way around power tools and woodworking equipment and I LOVE IT! My favorite toy is the bandsaw. (I call them my toys lol)
Nice to meet you too. Have a nice day!
