Linda,

Welcome!

My first question is; what tools/skills do you have? Wood spoons are not difficult with the proper tools (hand or power) but without them it can be challenging.

Same question for cigar boxes.

Let us know a bit more about what you are working with, and we may be able to help out a bit more.

I just have a woodburner with 5 tips. I dont want to carve them, just try and burn designs to use as Christmas gifts.
Being disabled and on SSD I cant afford alot. I even went to the library and they have nothing. Is there a good place to start? I just feel lost. Is there something that would help?
Thank you!!!

Since you don't have the tools tomake the spoon part, then you can buy them and add your designs. Maybe thats what you actually had in mind.

For design inspiration, look at scroll saw patterns. They are designed as open and closed space. That is the same as the light and dark spaces needed for woodburning.

Hope this helps,

Ralph

Search for "free clip art" images. There are thousands of them on the internet suitable for every occasion and interest.

You can find most of those products at your local Home Depot or Lowes. I've been very surprised at what I could find at one of those stores. Chances are if you ask for something, they shall provide -- they're kind of magical like that. lol.
