I strip a lot of furniture and have found table legs and small turned pieces a messy chore. My solution was to cap several lengths of plastic pipe of various diameters, pour stripper into them and immerse the parts. The stripper doesn't evaporate, even if I leave the parts in overnight. They usually come out clean enough, but I can always repeat the process if necessary.
