Jig for Large Radius Routing
|
I recently made a china cabinet with large curved doors requiring a 30" radius. Rather than spend the money on a specialized routing attachment, I improvised and used two 36" hardwood dowels fitted into the holes in the baseplate of my router.
At the other end, I fashioned a hardwood block with V-shaped grooves for each dowel. Two screws tighten the blocks together, and the middle screw acts as a pivot.
